# Ready-to-use AI prompts

> Copy-ready prompts for non-technical users, developers, and agencies working with KilatKoding.

<Warning>
  Never paste secrets such as `SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY`, `OPENAI_API_KEY`, `ANTHROPIC_API_KEY`, `MIDTRANS_SERVER_KEY`, `DOKU_SECRET_KEY`, or other production credentials into an AI tool.
</Warning>

<Info>
  Replace every placeholder in square brackets such as `[describe your product]` before sending the prompt. If the AI tool has access to your repository, let the prompt tell it to inspect the relevant files first. If it does not have repo access, ask it to state assumptions clearly.
</Info>

## How to use the prompts on this page

1. Pick the prompt closest to your task.
2. Add real context about the product, active features, and launch goal.
3. Ask for structured output: steps, relevant files, needed env vars, risks, and verification.
4. Cross-check the answer against this documentation before making large changes.

## Base instruction block

If you want more consistent AI output, prepend this block to almost any prompt:

```text theme={null}
Before answering, inspect the most relevant documentation and files first. Do not invent features that do not exist. Separate what can be done without code from what needs a developer. If you make assumptions, state them clearly. If you suggest file, env, or service changes, list what needs to change and how to verify it.
```

## Prompts for non-technical users

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Choose the right use case and feature mix">
    **Use this when:** you are not yet sure which KilatKoding scenario matches your product.

    **Expected output:** best-fit use case, active modules, minimum services, and mismatch risks.

    ```text theme={null}
    You are helping me choose the best KilatKoding use case for this product:
    [describe the product, target users, and how it makes money]
    Use the KilatKoding documentation. If you have repo access, also inspect config files, app files, lib, supabase/migrations, and .env.example before concluding.
    Please give me:
    1. The closest KilatKoding use case
    2. Which features should stay on and off
    3. The minimum services I need to prepare
    4. Risks or mismatches I should know early
    5. Which docs pages I should read next
    Also separate what I can decide as a non-technical user and what is safer for a developer to handle.
    ```
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Decide whether I should use KilatKoding or start another way">
    **Use this when:** you are still unsure whether this boilerplate is the right starting point.

    **Expected output:** recommended path, reasons, trade-offs, and risk signals.

    ```text theme={null}
    Help me decide whether I should use KilatKoding, a UI-only template, a fully custom build, or start from scratch.
    Product context:
    [describe the product, feature complexity, deadline, budget, and whether I have a developer]
    Please answer in this format:
    1. Main recommendation
    2. Why that option makes the most sense
    3. The biggest trade-off I need to accept
    4. When I should choose a different option
    5. The safest next step
    Use the KilatKoding docs and do not invent capabilities that are not supported.
    ```
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Turn my product idea into a clear developer brief">
    **Use this when:** you know what you want to build but do not know how to explain it clearly to a developer or coding assistant.

    **Expected output:** a structured brief with active features, integrations, and custom work.

    ```text theme={null}
    Turn this product idea into a clear implementation brief for a developer who will use KilatKoding:
    [describe the product idea, target users, business model, must-have features, and deadline]
    Please structure the result as:
    1. Product summary
    2. Closest KilatKoding use case
    3. Built-in KilatKoding features that can be reused
    4. Areas that still need custom work
    5. Integrations and services that must be prepared
